The results are in, and I wanted to make sure you heard it from me: Despite a hard-fought battle and the outpouring of support of you, our friends and neighbors, our campaign was not successful.
I’m disappointed — but I’m not discouraged. Over four months, we knocked on more than 20,000 doors; made almost 10,000 phone calls; attended 35 candidate forums; filled out 22 candidate surveys; and met with countless Texans, each of whom taught me something and encouraged me that our vision to Make America Like Texas is worth the fight.
My mission statement is simple but powerful. The people of the Hill Country know that to secure the future of our country, we need to take the straightforward, common-sense mindset that governs the State of Texas to Washington. We need to take the Texas model of limited government nationwide. We need to Make America Like Texas. It’s my hope and prayer that the next congressman for Texas’ 21st district takes that commitment to liberty and limited government to heart.
Carrie, our boys, my team and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, prayers, and encouragement. We couldn’t have gotten through this grueling campaign season without you — and whether we’re in office or not, we’re ready to keep fighting to Make America Like Texas.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are doing.”
