On this Texas Independence Day, just like every other day, I’m proud to be a Texan.
It’s been said that the Lone Star State is a state of mind — more than that, it’s the envy of the world. Our republic’s rich history, thriving economy, and natural beauty are unsurpassable, and so is the grit and ingenuity of its people.
After all, Texans have led the world in fighting for freedom and a better way of life since 1836, and we’re not finished yet. Sam Houston once said, “Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression, come from what source it may.”
As a fourth-generation native Texan, I’m asking for your vote today to export the principles that make our state a beacon of liberty nationwide. The federal government has over-taxed and over-regulated for too long. It’s time to take the spirit of liberty that fueled the heroes at the Alamo and Gonzales and Goliad to the U.S. Capitol.
Today is the last day of early voting. Will you join my team to help Make America Like Texas?
From my family to yours, happy Texas Independence Day!
P.S. Will you add a Make America Like Texas banner to your Facebook profile picture to show your support?
